Mozambique is a signatory to several international conventions related to biodiversity and has ratified the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) through Resolution no. 2/94. This testifies that the Mozambican government has attached high priority to the national biodiversity. Moreover, it shows the country’s enduring responsibility towards the international community as a contributor to the global effort aimed at halting the loss of biodiversity.
